File Hash Tool (x64)
Sharing my program "File Hash Tool" with you. It's a free, simple tool for calculating and verifying checksums. It handles everything smoothly - from single files to folders with thousands of entries. (No freezing, empirically tested!)
WHAT IT DOES
- Calculates checksums for single files or entire folders (recursively),
using several algorithms at once.
- Verifies files - either paste a single expected hash to compare against, or
point it to an existing checksum file - the program detects the format itself and checks
every entry (OK / mismatch / missing file / error).
KEY FEATURES
- 14 algorithms: CRC-32, MD5, SHA-1, the whole SHA-2 family (224/256/384/512,
512/256), SHA3-256, SHA3-512, BLAKE2b (256/512), BLAKE2s-256, BLAKE3.
- Parallel hashing (up to 8 files at once) - large sets finish noticeably
faster than going file by file.
- Handles large sets without lag - file/result lists are
virtualized, so thousands of entries scroll smoothly.
- Drag and drop files/folders straight onto the program window.
- Recognizes several checksum file formats: its own readable "Report" (all
algorithms at once), coreutils/GNU format (sha256sum -c and similar), BSD (tagged),
SFV.
- Export results to a file, with an "Open folder" button right after saving.
- Command line / "Open with" support in Explorer - e.g. you can have the
program start verifying a specific file right away, no clicking needed
(handy e.g. as a step in another installer).
- PL/EN interface, light/dark/system theme.
- Installs without admin rights (per-user), no registry clutter
beyond what's necessary.
OS: Windows 11/10 (64-bit)
